About Me
Justin Araujo, LMHC
Many men have been taught to push their feelings down, "suck it up," and keep moving forward while taking care of everyone else around them. You're probably someone others rely on. You may perform “well enough” under pressure, solve problems, and know how to hold everything together when life gets difficult.
But beneath the surface, things may feel different.
You may be struggling with confidence, self-esteem, irritability, or communicating with the people who matter most. Maybe you've noticed yourself withdrawing, becoming more frustrated than usual, or feeling disconnected from your emotions. You can think through almost any problem logically, but when someone asks, "How are you feeling right now?" it's hard to find the words. Maybe you were never even taught what those words are.
If that sounds familiar, you're not alone. Many of the men I work with are professionals, leaders, fathers, husbands, and entrepreneurs who have spent years pushing through challenges on their own. They've learned how to solve problems and take care of everyone else, but when it comes to managing their own stress, relationships, anger, anxiety, or finding what makes them happy, they often find themselves stuck.
